Here comes the mania [Alice's enterence]

Alice stared at her parents sitting across from her. She knew something was up. Something was ALWAYS up when they didn't scold her for her attire. On that certain day she had on one of her hand shredded dresses, a deep black with a satin touch. Normally everyday her parents would remind her that wearing such things was wrong. Yet now they were silent.
"So!" She suddenly said, her eyes filled with happiness. "Would we by any chance be going somewhere fun? Have you forgiven me for last week? I swear I'm sorry for throwing that vase at your heads!....and the one of a kind painting....and the mirror....and that stick-thing....But! That's all forgiven now, right?! I mean, you're not taking me to some depressin place of death, are you?" Nothing. She narrowed her eyes. "So! The other day I was reading this book about a fairy tale land and it has these really pretty girls in it and they were in love even though it was forbidden and there was this one scene where they were having se--!" She got cut off with the carriage suddenly stopped and she fell forward slightly. The door opened and she jumped out to see where they were. Her eyes widened and she turned back to look at her parents.
"No. No, don't tell me...." She said. "I can't....I can't believe this! There's no way! You aren't really going to LEAVE me here, are you?! I know I've been a handful but this can't REALLY be what you're planning!" Alice's dad spoke up. "We're sorry, Belle. But this is the only way." "Il n'ya aucune chance que ce soit le seul moyen! S'il vous plaît ne me faites pas rester ici! Je jure que je serai bonne à partir de maintenant!" Her father shook his head and handed her a letter. "Give this to the head doctor." He placed it in her hands and she stared at him as bags of her things were put beside her. "I....I can't believe this...." She watched the door close and them speed away, leaving her behind. The gate shut and she felt a since of pure fear. Her parents had left her stranded and alone in an unknown place.
"Quelqu'un....me....sauver...."

//OOG: After a day of half stalking the site I FINALLY posted this. -.- I hope you don't mind that she spoke in French. Whenever I have a character that speaks more than one language, about every other post has something in it. But, let's see....the first one is pretty obvious, her dad called her beautiful, belle. B/c he can. XD Translations~

[Dr. Edward Gideon Bramsfield]

A cold and steady hand settled itself on her shoulder, pressing firmly to glue the young girl in its grip. Long and spindly fingers squeezed tightly about the joint of the girl's shoulder and tugged her about to face a tall and gaunt figure that somehow always appeared onto the scene in the most ghastly of states, silent and ever vigilant.

"Welcome, my dear, to the Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls" said a soft and lilting voice, delicate despite the harsh angles of his aging frame

Alice blinked and starred at him silently, she moved her head to one side. "Are you....a doctor here?" She asked. But, before he could have a chance to answer, she abruptly grabbed his shirt and leaned foward slightly. "I swear I don't belong here!" She said franticly. "Sure I have a bit more energy that most people, and last week I got upset with my parents, but I hadn't been sleeping well and wasn't really feeling like myself! I swear to you sir, I'm not crazy! This has to be some kind of mistake!

[Dr. Edward Gideon Bramsfield]

"Do NOT touch me!" His temper got the best of him and he swung a hand harshly across her face.

Without another word, he slapped a chain about her neck and extra bindings around her wrist, jerking her forward harshly into the Asylum's yawning doors. His heels clicked loudly against the wooden floor and he led her up a grandiose staircase to his office on the top floor.

Alice's face had a slight stinging feeling to it, but she paid it no mind. "I-I'm sorry sir!" She said. "I'm just....just a bit....frantic right now. Normally people tell me that I have very nice manners, I'm sure this was only the result of shock or something that I angered you. Like I said, I've very sorry, sir." Most of her thoughts circled around fear, as she didn't want to be there, but at the moment she paid attention to the ones telling her that she shouldn't make this man angry. Or, well, that she shouldn't elivate his anger any more than she already had.

[Dr. Edward Gideon Bramsfield]

"Shut your little mouth, lest I shut it myself" he snapped with a predatory air about him as he tugged her harshly through the double doors to his lavish office.

Tossing aside a few child's trinkets that lie on a chair across from his desk, he forced the bound girl down onto its wooden surface.

"There is much that need be inquired of you, and I expect acute answers. None of this drabbling you're so fond of."

Alice starred at him in surpise. "Um, okay...." She said. "What would you like to know, sir?" After a moment she started looking around the room. She looked at the toys on the ground, having a hard time imagining a child growing up in such a place. After a moment she looked back at the doctor, biting the inside of her cheek to keep from talking.

[Dr. Edward Gideon Bramsfield]

Doctor Bramsfield settled himself behind his desk and looked up at her, tapping his pen in his ink well and poising to write "Name, age, date of birth, place of origin" he prattled off, eyes staring down the young lady shackled in a straight-jacket before him.

He glanced erratically towards the door to his bedchambers, as if expecting something to emerge from behind the oak doors at any moment.

Alice looked at the door, trying to figure out why he was looking at it. "Alice Chaisty Walker, 17, May 16th 1846, London." She said, hardly paying attention. After a moment she looked at him again. He was rather rude towards her, which left her unsettled. She wasn't she how she was supposed to behave, which left her in unknown territory. Her thoughts started to turn towards fear again.

[Dr. Edward Gideon Bramsfield]

"Eyes, natural hair colour, height, physical defects or flaws of the skin" he asked with nary an interest to her responses, scribbling away with his delicate cursive across the yellowed parchment.

He scrutinized her face for a moment, as though trying to unlock her soul, and shrugged heavily as he resigned again to his writing. His hands ached from all the work, all the writing and filing. He wanted so badly to return to Aeodhan, but he still had three more girls to file away and two death certificates to sign.

Alice blinked for a moment. She asumed he could tell some of that by looking at her, but regardless she answered. "Um; dark brown eyes, red hair, I'm 5'2", and I have a....scar, on my stomach...." She said, running a finger lightly across the said scar and looking at the toys again. "Um, if you don't mind me asking....is there a child here? I love kids, they're cute. I wouldn't mind having kids myself, but...." She trailed off, pressing on her stomach lightly. She didn't look at the doctor, instead at a wall.

"That would be none of your business" he said bitterly, kicking aside a stray toy soldier that lay near his boot. His eyes scanned the room and he sighed, seeing the mess his little son had left when he toddled through earlier. After a brief pause, he returned to the real-world, shaking his head vigorously to clear his thoughts.

"Please remind me, miss, what I instructed you to do?" He snapped, staring her down

Alice winced when he kicked the toy, and her eyes darted around instead of looking at him. "Um, uh, t-to not talk too much?" She said, almost like a question. She bit her lip.

(OOC: Please do try and keep your posts a bit longer, darling. I'm not calling you out, just stating for future reference. This is your first time, and it's no big deal every once and a while. I'm sure you'll be fine with it :3)

"Yes I did. And what have you just done in my presence?" He asked cooly, crossing his slender legs and eyeing her up once again. He rolled his emerald eyes and tapped his pen yet again into the ink, "Who brought you here today?" He asked softly, not giving her the chance to respond to his inquisition. "And who are your parents?"

Alice looked at the doctor, her eyes wide. "Um, my parents brought me here." She said, twitching slightly. "....Jacob and and Violet Chaisty Walker...."
Looking around the room again and ran her eyes up and down the walls, as if looking for cracks. Part of her just kept telling her to not look at him, another part just wanted to go out with a long stream of words as they popped into her mind, and what she was listening to most was the part that kept repeating that she should keep from talking and be as nice as possible. Even if the man was scaring her.
