What did one do during a slow day in the leeching room with really no one around? Doctor Lymer had gone out and there wasn’t a chaser in sight, which wasn’t really considered odd by the flamboyant assistant. After an hour of boredom, Gypsin found it in himself to give himself a personal leeching, which was a common occurrence around this time. He had just finished, the small Y shaped injury on the inside of his elbow was already bleeding quite well. He stood up and walked to the other side of the room where a personal bag of his lay and pulled out a roll of linen wrappings and began to dress the wound nonchalantly as he’d done many times before. Why did he do this? Why because it was a coping mechanism of his own. He wasn't really delighted with being alone this long and it was either suffer through with a panic attack, suffer with his halluciantions from his insomia or deal with it. He choose the last one.
He looked over to the poor black wriggling creature in a bowl on a small table wiggling about in agony as it lay dying from the salt he’d poured on it, to get it off of him. “Poor thing… Life is so fleeting for you, isn’t it.” He said softly, all the while still smiling. “Do not worry though for you will always be remembered as scar. And I shall wear it proudly and with honor.” After the poor thing finally died, Gypsin rolled down his sleeve to cover up his bandaged wound and sighed. There was really nothing more to do but what.

Flora walked nonchalantly into a room in which she'd never seen. She knew that she was supposed to be with the other inmates, but knew that if she were to learn the Asylum top to bottom, maybe she'd have a chance to escape. From what she seen thus far, she could tell that this was where the leechings were. She hadn't witnessed one, nor experienced one for herself, but she couldn't image what the purpose was for.
She noticed the strange man that she had seen at Dr. Bramsfield's social tea gathering, but didn't dare ask his name. "Ummm... I'm...." She tried to find words to explain why she was here and not with the other girls. "I'm sorry, I- er... must have accidentally got lost. I'll go now..." she said nervously.

The door opening frightened the poor man slightly and he jumped, quickly turning to face the door. “Oh… Hello!” He said with a bright beaming smile. HE listened to the girl go on and felt their whole meeting to be very very very awkward. “Nonsense. Every girl ends up here at some point.” He pranced over to her and smiled. “I’m sure you’re one of them. Judging by how you’re dressed and how you act.” Though he already knew her, very vaguely, since the start since he recognized her from the wonderful tea party. He stopped a moment and thought of Bramsfield and shivered in delight, until he pushed those thoughts away for a few moments.
“I can’t possibly tell you how many times I’ve gotten lost in this in place. I swear it grows bigger and bigger and bigger every day I stay here.” He chuckled slightly. Though he didn’t know why he found that particularly funny in the first place. “Where are you supposed to be at the moment Mademoiselle?” He asked with a delicate eyebrows raised slightly. He had been leaning on an iron table to ease the stress of his corset on his rib cage and straightened up. He thought about stretching but came to the conclusion that it wasn’t lady-like- gentlemanly to do so.

"I... I'm supposed to be with the other girls for bathing, I reckon." Flora stuttered each word, and found it difficult to talk in the presence of those who were here trying to "cure" all of the girls. She knew this man was different than any other she had seen in her entire life, but she couldn't place a finger on it. She had noticed the corset that he was wearing, and thought it odd for a man to be wearing one.
Glancing around the room, her feeling of wanting to leave was more intense. She bit her lip nervously, keeping quiet to ensure that she doesn't say anything unfavorable. She noticed a role of linen on the inner crease of the man's arm. Perhaps an inmate had gotten violent? Or maybe it was an accidental injury? Flora didn't spend too much on that thought, and quickly averted of those thoughts altogether.

“Is that so?” He tilted his head and brushed his blonde hair from his face. “If I am correct that is a long way away from this place.” He smiled and grabbed his jacket as a chill ran through his being. He also noticed the girl staring at his visible corset and wound. He absentmindedly slipped on the jacket and did it up to hide his arm and corset. He didn’t particularly mind but he could potentially get in much trouble if his corset wearing was known to widely. Only two people knew now and that was bad enough. He didn’t mind however that Bramsfield knew. He felt he could trust the doctor… but an inmate. He mentally shook his head and hugged himself as another chill ran through him. “Mon Deiu!” He whispered, poor thing got cold so easily lately. He supposed that it was him just adjusting to his new home and new country.
“You seem… uncomfortable. I promise it’s not as terrible as you’d think.” He giggled and leaned against the table again. Then again he wasn’t one someone should be taking advice to on this subject. “I don’t think we have been properly introduced yet.” He said slowly, due to his tight corset, and walked over to the girl taking her hand in his and bowing to kiss it. “Where are my manners?!” He said with another giggle. “May I get a name?”

She nodded, and bit her lip harder as the strange man approached her. She felt her heart racing with panic, and wished she'd never strayed off on her secret mission to discover the Asylum. Her body had suddenly gone cold, and even the lively man didn't change the atmosphere. He gracefully took her hand into his, and kissed it. An attempt to slow her heart was futile. Did he know what she was? Wasn't he aware that she was an inmate? Nothing more?
When he had asked her her name, she had to think about it. She listened to his half-hearted giggles, and tried to calm her nerves.
"My name is Flora, "She said trailing off and quickly added, "Selene. My name is Flora Selene." She had said nervously. She didn't want to be here anymore, and would try whatever her wondrous mind could conjure up to leave this place.

“A beautiful name for a beautiful girl, Cheri.” He said with his bright beaming smile never faltering. He tilted his head slightly but his smile still remained. “I sense you are uncomfortable.” He took a few steps back to give her space, not knowing if that would help or not. Thinking about it he really didn’t understand why she was uncomfortable in a place like this. Then again this was Gypsin and he himself was an odd person so his opinion wasn’t really valid in the first place. He finally knew who the girl was and he found it a personal accomplishment, seeing as being only there for a week or so, he didn’t really know anyone too personally but the other doctors.
His eyes fogged over a moment and he rubbed the inside of his arm absent-mindly through his jacket. He seemed to sway a moment before shaking his head and smiling again. “I don’t think you need to be uncomfortable here, in fact I find it quite pleasurable if I do say so myself.” He made his way back over to the table and opened a decorated leech jar looking down at the wiggling creatures inside. “You… haven’t had a leeching before have you? I find bloodletting very calming.” He replaced the lid and looked back to the girl. He felt a giddy malicious streak coming on but forced it back, though his eyes said: You shouldn’t have come here.

"Thank you," she said quietly, relaxing a little when he stepped away from her. Flora had noticed his calm aura, and couldn't understand why this man would be so comfortable in a place like this. Then again, he was a doctor with power, and Flora was nothing but an inmate. She watched as the man walked away casually, and opened a jar of what she thought contained the leeches used for leeching.
Flora silently said her answer to his question about whether she had ever had a leeching before in her head. No, I have not. Nor would I want one. Ever. She knew that her thoughts were safe, but knew that he would be expecting an answer of some sort. "No, I have not." She said quietly, eying the maliciousness in his eyes. She needed an excuse to leave, to escape this horrid place. "I-I-I should probably get back with the other girls. I'm sorry for interrupting." She said as she turned to leave through the way she had entered.

“Oh no, no Mademoiselle. That won’t do.” He said shaking his head, his smile a bit clearer and wider. He almost sprinted to the door, standing in front of it before Flora could get there herself. “That’s very strange, because I heard all the inmates come here often. Perhaps Monsuier Lymer was exaggerating a bit.” He said softly and tilted his head. He really didn’t want to be left alone all day again. “Perhaps you should have one. I could give it to you.” He smiled brightly. “It’ll help ease whatever ails you in your mental state.” Though Gypsin was one to talk about mental problems to someone else. He tilted his head to the other side and narrowed his mismatched eyes. “You are afraid.” He stated, looking her straight in the eyes.

The Doctor had made his way to the door before she could. Flora whimpered quietly. She tried so hard to leave. The tone of his voice made her body turn cold. "I'm not mad. I don't even know why I'm here. I have no troubles. None indeed." She bit her lip nervously, and chose her words carefully. The Doctor standing before the door, blocking the way out meant she wasn't getting out until he moved. If, he would. Flora figured she wasn't getting out of this leeching even if she tried her hardest. The Doctor was much too eager to give her one. She admitted at that very moment to herself that her desire to escape the Asylum grew even more intense than before.
Flora heard another voice speaking in her ears, and couldn't help but silently stand there, trying to figure whether it was the little girl named River (actually her other personality - Flora believes it's another person talking to her. This is where it gets really complicated because she also has schizophrenia and MPD). The voice was indeed of River, but she did her best to ignore it.
Flora's voice returned and she answered in her quiet and meek voice, "I--I- I should probably go, really. I'm sure the other Doctors, chasers and even Miss. Lightwood are likely looking for me. Such a shame for them to look so hard, only to find me here."
(( That's alright. Thanks for a reply back. It's been a while. ))

“Isn’t that what one is supposed to say when locked away in an asylum?” The doctor asked, mostly to himself before giggling. “’I’m innocent’ or ‘I’m not mad!’ or ‘This is all a mistake.’” He pushed his blonde hair from his face to reveal his shining smile. There was no way he was moving from the door at any time soon. He could tell she was scared and it thrilled him. It truly did, but he knew that she needed help. That thrilled him even more. His different colored eyes flashed again as his smile softened. He knew fear all too well and it felt good to be the one not in fear at that moment.
“Oh chérie, dear. You needn’t be afraid. It only hurts a moment.” He said in quite the cheery tone. ‘though it depends on which way one uses to do blood-letting…’ But he wasn’t about to say that out loud. “I’m sure there isn’t too much of a fuss. I’d have heard about it by now.” He chuckled again. “It’ll only take but a moment. I’d love to introduce you to my friends. Perhaps you and I could be friends. I’m not as scary as I seem.”

"I'm not insane." She said. "I was brought her by the orphanage. They thought I was unusual but had no proof. No proof. I am not mad. I am not... I am not..." Flora said as her body began to tremble in utter fear. "This is a mistake, a completely horrid mistake." Flora looked around the room, trying to look for an possible exit, but found none other than the one before her. The Doctor stood there showing signs of authority and hidden pleasure.
"All of you are mad. Completely mad. How do you call yourselves learned men and women? It is an awfully big Asylum. Perhaps things do not travel as soon as they seem." Flora bit her lip nervously, feeling the blood enter her mouth. She did her best to hide it, knowing this habit was terrible enough.
"I will never be friends with any of you lot. I have learned to trust and love. I do not trust anyone here. This is a mad house filled of innocent girls. It's a pity you are all going to hell. How unfortunate Sir, I cannot be friends with any." Flora's darkened mood turned to fear once again.
Her body began to tremble, and her adrenaline ran out. "That moment you spend giving me a leeching could be used for your own personal pleasure. What a waste it would be to waste valuable time on a girl such as me."
