Rosemary was...happy when she woke up that morning, or as happy as she could be with the hell she was living in—the hell they were all living in. She had seen the new arrivals for a brief moment, and her heart broke for them. None of them were mad, none of them truly insane. She did not believe that. Rose knew they were all different, sure, but only there because someone, somewhere, got tired of them, claimed them to be crazed, and then threw them into the asylum. That was why Rosemary was so eager to meet all the girls. She need a friend, someone to talk to—her sole companion locked away somewhere for God only knew how long—and figured the other girls wanted or needed one as well.
I sure hope they do, she thought to herself as she made her way to the sitting room, favorite book in tow, tucked safely between her two folded arms and chest. She'd been given her outside clothes that morning, and so she felt decent and worthy of friends.
When she got to the room, she sat on the couch nearest the window where the sun hit perfectly and flipped aimlessly through her book, waiting for someone, anyone, to come keep her company.

Annaliese wondered into the sitting room, in her own personal tour of The Asylum. She had to admit, the stucture was majestic, and even a little depressing. The curtains draped over the window, covering any sight of the outside world. There was calm hapsichord music twinkling in the back ground. She looked at the other corner of the room, where a red-head was sitting. She was lovely. Although there was no real reason to speak to anyone, she went towards her. In a place like this, she'd need a friend. She sat beside the beautiful woman and spoke. "Why hello.." she said, unsure of how to being a conversation.

Rosemary jumped in surprise at the sudden realization that she was no longer alone, so captured by her book as always. "I'm sorry. I wasn't aware I was in the prescence of another," she said, closing her book and smiling at the other girl. "But hello to you, too. I'm Rosemary-Louise." She took in the woman for a moment before a small grin graced her face, happy with her company. She was friend material, Rosemary decided. "If you don't mind me asking, how long have you been here?" Rose asked, sure she couldn't have been new, as she didn't seen her come in, but she had to have been as she had never seen her prior. "You're a new face to me."

The girl seemed startled. Not surprisingly, she had been so intent in her book, and Annaliese had disturbed her. She smiled apologetically as the girl- Rosemary, introduced herself.
Rosemary looked as if hse wanted to say something, but not quite sure how to phrase it. There she went again. Trying to analyze every charcteristic in a new aquaintance. It was becoming somewhat more than a hobby. She smiled at her composed question and answered in a friendly tone. "I am Annaliese. Call me Ana though. I just arrived today. I was giving myself a personal tour of this place," she looked down to the book again, reminding herself that she had something else to say, "It seems as I have disturbed you. Im very sorry."

"No, it's okay. Your 'disturbance' is welcomed. I was wanting company anyway. Gets mighty lonely in this place," Rose replied, shrugging off the apology. She moved her feet off the chair so the other girl could sit down and smiled. "It's nice to meet you, Ana. And again, don't worry about the interruption. It's not every day I get to talk to a cute girl," she said, chuckling. "Please, sit. You're here now, so let's be friends. Let's talk." Rosemary set her book aside and crossed her legs, leaning over a bit to prop her chin up on her closed hand. She didn't know the girl very well yet, but she was already interested in her—intrigued. She didn't seem as down as all the other girls; in fact, the other woman reminded her of her Lenore, and that made Rose like her even more.

Rosemary was too kind. She had forgiven her in a quite interesting way. She grinned. The woman was intriguing and funny. She only told her what she had expected, The Asylum was a lonely, harzardous place, where everybody needed a friend. She beamed at the idea that they could be friends. She needed some sort of friend. The closest thing she had ever had was Helmine, Alfreide, Fritzi and her sister. Her father should also count as one. Annaliese blushed lightly when Rosemary called her cute. "You flatter me, Rosemary. But really, I should be saying that. You are stunningly beautiful." She felt a little embarassed saying that.
Annaliese looked around, looking for something interesting to comment on. After a few minutes she turned to Rosemar, who was clearly waiting for her to say something and smiled longinly. "How long have you been in this place, Rosemary? It seems like something from out of a horror tale." She said with a nervous chuckle.

Rosemary laughed and grinned, nodding. She wasn't vain, but she wasn't oblivious of her beauty and charm, either. "Thank you. And to answer your question, I've been here for a month or three? I'm not really sure anymore. I lost track. Time just seems to blur by, and...being here, I've seemed to stop caring for it. Time doesn't really matter much to me anymore," she answered, shrugging. "A horror tale, indeed. This place? It's horrible, but you get used to it, I guess. We have no choice but to!"
Rose frowned, the sudden topic bringing her down, but she shook the feeling off as best she could and grinned, pulling her feet under her and sitting just a little higher. "But anyway! How old are you? I can't tell. And why are you here? Who brought you? My parents did the deed together," she explained.

Charming, Annaliese thought. Now she seemed to be making Rosemary quite down. She bit her lip in concern, wishing she knew somehow to cheer her up. The Asylum seemed like a horrible place alright. She had known that much. But Doctor Bramsfield...She smiled dreamingly. Doctor Bramsfield. Rosemary's question interrupted her thoughts, whihc made her go blank for a few seconds. She then recollected herself. Her heart sunk to hear that her own flesh and blood would send her to such a horrible place, in extremely hard circumstances. Yet thhen again, so had her mother. She smiled brightly. "People have told me that before, but Im seveteen. My mother sent me here. And for your other question..." Annaliese closed her eyes.
She remembered the day, the vision, her sisters lifeless body laying in the water...a water nymph for eternity.

Her head tilted slightly in curiosity when Annaliese seemed to become to lost in her own thoughts, and she wondered what could be so wonderful, only assuming it was such if her smile was any indication. "Seventeen! I sure do pick the youngest of friends," Rose said, sure the girl had been much older. She shrugged, though, as she wasn't that much younger. "I'm sorry our parents are such non-understanding people," she said. Rosemary watched in quiet apology as the girl closed her eyes, her face showing that what she had to say wasn't the best thing ever. Rosemary leaned forward and patted her hand softly, smiling. "It's okay. You don't have to tell me. I'm sorry I brought it up. We should talk about something else now," she suggested.

Rosemary apologized for the previous question. Annaliese looked at her in surprise and then smiled. "No, it's fine" then she looked at her closely. She was in here so maybe she had a similar story to hers. She could trust her. "I killed my sister...but not directly, well not physically. I saw things different in my mind. It wasn't her. It was him." Her eyes burned of hatred.
That man. Taken Alfriede from her. Taken something he had no right to from her. Her virginity. For God's sake, she had only been a young child! And it had hurt. Her legs clautched tightly, feeling the disgust.

She hesitated for only a minute before asking, "'Him' who?" While she dearly wanted to know who was evil enough to kill, she was also scared of the answer. She hope it wasn't someone close to her that had hurt her, someone like a relative. Her family had betrayed her enough by allowing her to come to such a place like this. "And I'm so sorry for your sister. I know what it is like to lose a loved one." Rosemary waited for the girl to continue on, unusually quiet out of respect for her story, though she was dying to say everything that came to mind and ask a million questions. It surprised her how much self-control she had. "As I said before, we can change the subject. We don't have to talk about this. We can talk about why the sky is blue, for all I care!" Rosemary rambled on, watching the other woman intently for any sign of distress or uncomfortableness. Rose herself didn't like being forced to talk about her sad past, didn't like showing that kind of emotion, so she wasn't going to make Annaliese do it, either, though the girl seemed willing to talk.
The red-head was a nosy little thing; she also wouldn't tell the girl to stop outright.

Rose asked who him was, and Annaliese's face turned into one of hatred, her hands closing to fists around her tattered garments. "He was not family. He was a drunkard. He took someone away from from me. Took my innosence. It hurts but I guess I'll have to accept that it happened sooner or later." She said, her face hard.
She looked at Rose, who seemed to be searching for signs of distress in her. Annaliese smiled and said "It's alright. I have tyo accept that it happened at a certain point." She queezed Rose's hand.
There was some trust that Annaliese semmed to be developing towards Rose. She didnt know why. Maybe it had to do that they were two women living in the same nightmare. She didnt dare ask Rose her own past. "Anyways, any tips of hpw to survive this place?" She asked, winking.

"Acceptance." Rosemary laughed a little. "You and I both need to learn how to do that." She smiled, glad to see the girl was okay for the most part—probably handling it much better than she was. "How to survive this awful place...honestly, I don't know! I am barely surviving as it is. Just...listen to the doctors and chasers, I guess. Don't fight them or anything, or you'll end strapped to something. Make a friend. It gets lonely here," Rosemary explained with a smile. Her smile soon turned into a playful, mischievous smirk and she whispered, "Or just find a really handsome doctor and become his favorite."
As they talked, Rosemary found her really liking the girl. She saw her as a good friend, even an ally, but she was still wary, always a little wary, of trusting other people, especially in this place. "Have you met the charming Dr. Bramsfield yet?" she asked, a hint of sarcasm lacing her tone. "No, stupid question! Of course you have. What did you think of him?"

She chuckled, knowing that everyone had they're own dark past here. Rose did too, although Annaliese didnt wish to make the beautiful woman sad. She was so kind and understanding. Annaliese was grateful for her new friend. Her advice made her pin point a theory about Rose. Hyper-sexiuality? Maybe. It didnt matter, she was kind. She mentioned Doctor Bramsfield, which made her smile, with a light blush. "He's a charming man, for the most part. He seems pretty interesting. Seems to make no sense sometimes but I guess i understand. Ever wondered if he's "ill" like us? Or atleast what they think we are?" Annaliese asked, looking to both sides, hoping no one but Rose heard that.

Rosemary noticed the way the girl blushed at the mention of Bramsfield, and she raised an eyebrow, wondering just how well she knew him. "Charming, indeed. Ill? I would say so. I would say he's the one really in need of help, not any of us," Rose answered with a shrug, merely giving her opinion and hoping she didn't offend the girl who seemed to have a certain kind of fondness for the doctor. "I guess he's handsome. Much too hard to please, if you ask me, though. Hardly worth it, but to each their own, I suppose," she said with a small smile.
